A button a black hole

This series of work, collectively titled “A button a black hole”, was initially inspired by an opinion piece on Banksy’s shredding of ‘Girl With Balloon’ at its auction in 2018. The article referred to a quote: “The urge for destruction is also a creative urge”, which has been attributed to Picasso - who did say similar things - but was allegedly coined by Mikhail Bakunin (a Russian anarchist who died in 1876, five years before Picasso was born).
