Exploring the act of building and a methodology that links creativity, play, and memory. Crowe’s ‘Graft’ series uses objects to explore and query systems of construction. Assembled and arranged from found and fabricated objects, the works contain contradictions. Found objects, surface elements and references to the built environment, physical/visual balance, tension and gravity collide in carefully considered constructions.
