The cacophony of wind, rain, the storm, whipping leaves, grasses, a bird flys sideways up lifted in the current. Water on my skin, wind ruffing and pulling, nature at her best.

About the Artist

Leigh Munro

In the natural environment I experience and observe energy. Organic matter is in constant transformation, degrading, recombining. Plant life, absorbs UV, water and minerals, "little power houses" that produce seedlings, flowers, leaves, fragrance, and sustain life, only to wither, decompose and regenerate. Wild life calls out, competing and reproducing, a life and death cycle. The elements, hot, cold, rain, wind. The Earth, Sun and Moon moving, changing - nothing stays still. I am deeply moved to the core of my body as I find myself immersed within this vibrant cycle of life.

My works explore these powerful energies. Transforming them into line, form and colour, playing with the nuances, of delicacy, strength, power, connection and infinite possibility.
