An impossible scenario. An implausible occasion. The central subject, the artist himself, gazes out into an alternate reality at the end, or perhaps the beginning, held in between, suspended. Building the work up in physical three dimensional form expands the idea that a painting is an object occupying space, capturing a moment in time.
