A dialogue about acknowledgement of women biologic clock and recognition of the ageing issues in our occidental society.
Hand shaped, soldered, Sterling silver 2mm wire. Garnet 7mm teardrop jewellery grade A++. braided frayed satin silk. Hand made in Devonport.
About the Artist
Beatrice Carlson
Beatrice Carlson is an interdisciplinary artist with a French fashion design background.
As a 10 times finalist of the World of WearableArt Awards (2010-2019), she creates now one off pieces, handmade in her Devonport jewellery studio working mainly with sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones.
For the last five years, Carlson's jewellery has been exploring the function of the body, its proper language and position in society.
Her narrative is about attitude towards adornment, recycling/upcycling, ageing, and Covid impact.
