Let’s embrace and be gracious about our wrinkles, witnesses of our happy and sad times!
Hammered, soldered, oxidised Sterling silver 2mm wire. Black Spinel semi-precious 2mm faceted gemstones. Silk cord with French wires settings. Hand made in Devonport.
About the Artist
Beatrice Carlson
Beatrice Carlson is an interdisciplinary artist with a French fashion design background.
As a 10 times finalist of the World of WearableArt Awards (2010-2019), she creates now one off pieces, handmade in her Devonport jewellery studio working mainly with sterling silver and semi-precious gemstones.
For the last five years, Carlson's jewellery has been exploring the function of the body, its proper language and position in society.
Her narrative is about attitude towards adornment, recycling/upcycling, ageing, and Covid impact.
